Professional Point

Examples of professional requirements include but are not limited to: shadowing, conferences related to the PA field, going to listen to a speaker at another (non-APPAS) meeting, a practicum, etc.

With the pandemic, it is a great idea to take advantage of online opportunities such as virtual PA school tours or online webinars for a prospective program.

If you have questions about whether or not something counts for a professional event please reach out to the current Vice President, Alex, or email APPAS.

If you have a speaker you would like APPAS to feature, please reach out to the President.

Volunteer Hours

Volunteer hours can be submitted together if you volunteered multiple hours at one place. If they were not at the same place, please submit the hours you completed at each event separately.

Volunteer hours can come from any source. It does not have to be an APPAS organized event. It does not count if you were paid for your volunteer event. Also note babysitting without getting paid does not count.

If you have questions about volunteer hours please reach out to our Philanthropy chair, Nikki.
